Coimbatore
 
Coimbatore is one of the largest business cities in Tamil Nadu. It is called as Manchester of the South India and textile capital of south. It is located at the banks of the river Noyal. It was once called as Kongunad. Since it is located in the shadow of the Western Ghats, the climate in Coimbatore is always pleasant. Since it is a busy industrial area many industries are developing in Coimbatore. There are many recreation places nearer to Coimbatore.

    Coimbatore is one of the most important commercial cities and is an industrial city in Tamilnadu. There are many industries and are mainly cotton industries. The city is situated in the banks of the river Noyyal. It is located in the shadow of the Western Ghats. The climate here is very cool and pleasant. The soil in Coimbatore is black soil. Now there are numerous mills flourishing in Coimbatore and there are over hundreds of mills now. It is called as Manchester of South India. Coimbatore is near to queen of hills Udagamandalam and it is the entry for the state Kerala. The city is well connected to Ooty which is one of the nice tourist places. There are many entertainment places in nearby Coimbatore and its places. Kovai Kutrallam is a perennial waterfall. It is fully covered by dark green forests which have different kinds of fauna and flora. There is a temple in Perur and the Noyal River flows through it. Marudamalai is a hill which has the temple for Lord Muruga. It is both a picnic and religious spot. Now-a-days many theme parks are blooming in Coimbatore. The water source for Coimbatore is from Siruvani Dam and Waterfalls. It is popular because of its good taste.
