The engineering colleges affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore are under inspection. The colleges which have applied for the renewal of affiliation and the ones which have applied newly are strictly inspected. University has announced that this process was started from June 22, 2009.

The University release says that once the college receives the approval letter from All India Council for Technical Education / Council of Architecture, University starts its inspection process. The team specially formed for this inspection will assess the colleges for its infrastructural facilities, academic ambiance and availability of faculty members. The committee will also meet the parents, students and staff to understand the requirements and the expectations of each category.
