Counselling for the undergraduate courses in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University began this Tuesday (June 23 2009). This will go till this Sunday (June 28 2009). Under the single window system nearly 7000 candidates have applied for the study in 12 disciplines. When asked about the counselling procedure, the Dean K. Vanangamudi said that it will be based on the plus two marks and the cut-off marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The first day of the counselling saw students from 199 to 189 and 188.75 to 184.25. The first three toppers chose B.Sc Agriculture, B. Tech. (Biotechnology) and B. Tech. (Energy and Environmental Engineering). The admission card for them was handed over by the Vice-Chancellor P. Murugesa Boopathy. The second batch of counselling will be held July 07, 2009.
